The Problem
A quarterly sample tells you what the fluid looked like a month ago.
A glycol loop drifts. Concentration changes with makeup water and top-offs. pH moves as inhibitors deplete. Turbidity and conductivity climb as the system picks up contamination. None of it announces itself.
The standard answer is a manual sample every quarter, shipped to a lab, with results two to three weeks later. That tells you what the fluid looked like a month ago. In a liquid-cooled data center running at density, a month is a long time to be guessing.
What It Monitors
Four parameters. Measured continuously.
Glycol Concentration
Confirms the loop is holding its freeze and burst protection, and catches dilution from makeup water before it becomes a problem.
pH
Tracks the chemistry that keeps the inhibitor package working. A drifting pH is the early signal that fluid protection is degrading.
Conductivity
Flags contamination and ionic loading in the loop.
Turbidity
Watches clarity, so suspended solids and fouling show up as a trend instead of a surprise.
All four are measured continuously and reported live. No sample bottle, no shipping, no waiting.
