Dewatering is the act of removing excess surface water from an area or draining a section of groundwater or a body of water such as a pond. In wet climates, constructions sites may need to be dewatered before a project can begin. Alternatively, ponds may need to be dewatered in order to perform maintenance or to clean up contamination.
